Ration Kit Distribution

The 2nd wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India has once again left lakhs of people in our society in lurch. In these tough times everyone is worried about something new unfolding each day. Some are worried about their jobs and their children’s education. How ever it gets really intense when the issue is – How to feed your family? How to get food on your table?

This is what lakhs of people in our country who are solely dependent on daily income are going through. In this hour of need, we at Abhikrati Foundation took our step forward and decided to contribute our bit for the daily wage workers. So with the support of every of our volunteer and donors we conducted a ration kit distribution drive for the needy ones in Alwar, Rajasthan.

As it wasn’t possible for every of our volunteer to provide a physical help due to the lockdown restrictions, so only 5 of our volunteers took it to the streets and rest every member contributed their bit virtually and financially.

The ration kit distribution drive was conducted in the outskirts of the Alwar city which included daily essential items like wheat flour, rice, oil, spices, etc. About 15-20 families in the city were benefited by the drive. It was an extremely great opportunity for all of us at Abhikrati Foundation to provide a helping hand to the marginalised section of the society.

While this may not seem a lot for someone who is from a different section of society, donating dry ration kits like this can go a long way for families who are doubting their very survival during the pandemic. The main motive of this drive was to ensure that no one should go to sleep hungry for the next day. These people and their families need your support and you can donate right now to ensure that these families don’t go hungry.

Hence, the main aim of this drive was based on " Don't let a single person sleep hungry for another day " , as for the hungry, god comes in the form of food.

This Video links includes all glimpses of the drive which was lead by 4-5 members of the family, thus covering 20-30 families all around the area. The motive is solely indicating that " We are hungry for change, & together we can feed the hungry".
