Yoga Day Celebration

On the occasion of International Yoga Day i.e 21st June, a one hour yoga session was organised. The

session was solely taken by Mr. Amarendra Narayan Lal sir, having 20 years of experience in Yoga. The program was named as YOGA: HEAL YOUR SOUL as our body exists in the past & our mind exists in the future, hence through yoga, they come to the present. The session was streamed live on you tube, participated by all members of the foundation with enthusiasm & dedication.


As it was one hour session, all the basic asanas & pranayams necessary for modern day lifestyle were performed sequentially. The main aim of this session was to not just celebrate yoga day, but to convince as many as people to bring yoga in their lives as a daily routine due to its optimum benefits & todays busy lifestyle.


As of current situation, when there is stress & anxiety all around, this was a must session to be aware of such an invaluable gift. Due to brutal covid 2nd wave, the session was conducted virtually, thus it concluded with sayings of practicing yoga consistently, with full discipline, enthusiasm & generosity.


History :


The International Day Of Yoga was celebrated annually since 2015, on 21st June, following its inception in the United States General Assembly in 2014. The idea of International Yoga Day was first proposed by our honourable prime minister, Mr Narendra Modi, during the speech at UNGA on 27 September 2014. The logic behind celebrating 21st June as International Yoga Day is that, 21 June is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere & shares a special significance in many parts of the world.


Benefits :


Yoga embodies unity of mind & body, thoughts & action, restraint & fulfilment, harmony between man & nature, but most importantly it creates an immense positive impact on our body both mentally & physically.

From maintaining our health check up to optimum level, it creates perfect body to mind connection.
